2ND ANNUAL RFL BACK TO THE 50'S WEEKEND!

This is just sooooo soooo cute and will be so much fun that I had to mention it here. If you are looking for something to do this weekend.. please read on!

Get out those poodle skirts, bobby socks and saddle shoes or the leather jackets, cuffed jeans and ducktails, we're headed back to the 50's! It's time for the 2nd Annual Back to the 50's Weekend for Relay for Life! It's all happening April 18th, 19th and 20th!

The weekend begins with a sockhop on April 18th deejayed by Autumn Fairlane. An admission price of 500L will get you in the door and will give you a nice selection of door prizes. Our Back to the 50s King and Queen contest begins at the Sockhop! Have your picture taken, pay an entry fee of 50L and then campaign for votes! Each vote will cost 1L and the crowning will take place at the drive-in on the 20th! The sockhop runs from 6 - 8 PM SLT.

Saturday, April 19th starts off with a bang! The back to the 50's carnival opens up at 8 AM SLT and runs all day! Carnival rides, game booths with lots of opportunity to win fabulous prizes, 50s music and much more will help you continue a weekend full of nostalgia. Keep your eyes open for our carnival clowns and a sheriff who monitor the fairgrounds for hooligans. We're running a jail and bail and bond money will be required to regain your freedom!

Visit our Classic Car Show and see the work of some of SL's greatest car builders. You can enter your car or vote on your favorite! The Grand Prize winner will win a Big Tank Gold Chopped Motorcycle by West Coast Classics! Winner announced at 7pm SLT on April 19, 2008. See attached notecard for more info:

Remember that TV show, The Dating Game? Join us as we recreate the fun. We will have two rounds, one with a bachelorette choosing from 3 eligible bachelors, and the other with a bachelor choosing form 3 eligible bachelorettes!! The fun starts when the questions begin and continues when the winning couple goes on that special date chosen especially for them! Games start at 1pm SLT.

Be sure and shop our craft/vendors fair, too. The entire section is filled with items created especially for RFL, by some of Secondlife's top builders and designers. This is an exhibit you won't want to miss!

Be sure and stop by the Back to the 50's King and Queen display, where you can vote for your favorites! Each vote costs just 1L!
The weekend closes with two movies shown at our Back to the 50's Drive-In. Visit The Paradise Sim on Sunday, April 20th to relax in a classic car with your sweetie. Munch on popcorn and candy you can get from the snack bar and enjoy!
Movie Schedule: 1 PM SLT - Pleasantville; 4 PM SLT - American Graffiti.
The crowning of the Back to the 50s King & Queen will take place just after the 1st movie!
